Our 2025 programming included:

  • January 25 — “Thar She Blows: History of Whaling on the East End,” Tara Rider, Ph.D., and Senior Lecturer, Stony Brook University. (Undercroft, St. John Church)

  • February 22 — “Shinnecock Kelp Farmers Helping to Save the Bays,” Becky Genia and Danielle Hopson, (Undercroft, St. John Church)

  • March 15 — “Bird Migration on the East End,” Shaibal “Shoy” Mitra, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, College of Staten Island, CCNY (Undercroft, St. John Church)

  • April 16 — “Plankton to Whales,” Howard and Ann Reisman sponsored lecture on the “Fish of the East End” by Chris “Fishguy” Paparo, Southampton Marine Science Center Manager, (North Sea Community Schoolhouse)

  • May 24–26 — “Water and Light; Images of North Sea,” artists and their North Sea-inspired art (North Sea Community Schoolhouse)

  • June 21 — “School’s Out: Welcome Back to North Sea,” Ice Cream Social sponsored by Antilety Landscaping and the Anderson Family, (North Sea Community Schoolhouse)

  • July 3 – Mix and Mingle for Young Professionals (Captain Jacks)

  • July 24 — “The Tupper Family and the Tupper Boathouse,” a North Sea Family’s Experience, Charlie Tupper (North Sea Community Schoolhouse)

  • September 12 - "Rain Gardens: Natives & Pollinators," a lecture by Mark Antilety, Owner of Antilety Landscaping, a Fourth Generation Southampton Business (Southampton Cultural Center)

  • September 27 – “Boathouse Bash” Gala at the Water Mill home of Janet and Bob Postma, featuring the music of “The Surfcasters,” food, art, and more.
